Who We Are

Four Decades of Doing This Right.

Village Sweep started in 1983 as a one-truck chimney cleaning operation. Small business, big standards. Over the decades, we grew into Village Hearth and Home — a full-service fireplace retailer, installer, and service company trusted across Solano County.

What hasn't changed: we're still family-owned, still Fairfield-based, and still the same people answering the phone. Every install is handled by our own crew. No subcontractors. No call centers. No handoffs.

That matters because a fireplace is one of the most personal upgrades you can make to your home. It's not just a heater — it's the room you'll sit in with your family for the next thirty years. We want to do it right.

From One Truck
to a Full Showroom.

1983

Village Sweep Founded

Started as a one-truck chimney cleaning company serving Fairfield and surrounding Solano County neighborhoods.

1990s

Expanded Into Fireplace Sales & Install

Added fireplace retail and full installation services. Became authorized dealers for top North American brands.

2000s

Opened the Fulton Drive Showroom

Launched our live-fire showroom — one of Northern California's largest — so customers could see, feel, and compare every fireplace before buying.

2010s

Rebranded as Village Hearth & Home

Unified our sweeping, sales, and install operations under one roof. Earned CA Contractor License #974228 and full bonding & insurance.
